Philanthropy

Delta Chi Philanthropy

Through philanthropy, we help our community and strengthen our Brotherhood.  Community service is an essential component of our Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity.  Whether this be raising money for our own cause, or getting involved with the community or for a larger cause, Delta Chi is always ready to help and support those in need.

The Jimmy V Foundation

The Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research is the national philanthropy for all Delta Chi chapters. Every year, Delta Chi hosts a “Jimmy V Week” where all chapters are encouraged to fundraise and donate to Jimmy V. In addition to this, our chapter utilizes Rave 2 Save, our Delta Guy calendar, among other opportunities to support Jimmy V.

Philanthropy In Action

Rave to Save

Rave2Save is our largest philanthropy event of the year. It is a “rave” put on in Kimballs at the beginning of the school year, supporting the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. Tickets are sold through tabling as well as at the door. In 2024, we raised over $2100 with over 360 attendees. We look to beat this next year!

The Big Event

The Big Event is a fraternity-sorority life wide event that happens in during Greek Week each semester. Local citizens can sign up for their house to be helped with yardwork. Pictured is Brody Monaghan, Andy Doan, Max Wilber, Keegan Vosmith, and Daniel Beattie helping rake leaves during Greek Week 2024. The Big Event is always so much fun!

Delta Guy Calendar

The Delta Guy Calendar is an annual Delta Chi philanthropy tradition. Each year, the men of Delta Chi come together to take a calendars-worth of funny pictures of ourselves, such as the picture. We then sell these calendars, with the profits going to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. Stay tuned for the 2024 edition.
